Dr. Chien joined BMW in July of 2017 after completing his anesthesia residency at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas. While a resident at UTSW, Dr. Chien presented scientific posters at two prominent national anesthesia meetings. He has completed all the requirements to be a candidate in the American Board of Anesthesiology examination system. Dr. Chien received his Medical Doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Prior to that, he earned a Masters of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been honored multiple times with academic scholarships and grants during his journey from Plano East Senior High to serving his community as a physician anesthesiologist. In his free time, he enjoys raising his Pekinghese puppy with his wife, playing disc golf, working out, and snowboarding. He is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, and Texas Longhorns.

Dr. Cotton joined BMW in 2006 and has been President of the group since 2008. Dr. Cotton takes an active role at Medical City Dallas Hospital as a physician-leader. She is served 4 years (2015 - 2019) as the Chairman of Surgery and sits on the Medical Executive Committee. Prior to that, she gave years of dedication to surgical services as the Chief of the Anesthesia Section. Dr. Cotton also serves on the Anesthesia Performance Improvement Committee. Dr. Cotton successfully managed the Ambulatory Endoscopy Center as Medical Director until the center was combined with the Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center in 2016. Dr. Cotton completed her anesthesiology residency and internship at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She earned her Medical Doctorate at the UTSW Medical School and her Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology at the UTSW Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She maintains a teaching position in the Pharmacology department at UTSW, and has been honored multiple times with teaching awards from the medical students. She studied biochemistry at Columbia University in New York City and Texas A&M University in College Station where she completed her Bachelor of Science.  Dr. Cotton is married and has two daughters.

Dr. Huang joined BMW in August of 2017. Dr. Huang has over a decade of experience working as a staff anesthesiologist at the Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. During his time with HUMC, he also served 3 years as the Rutgers Residency Site Director. Dr. Huang completed his Medical Doctorate, anesthesia residency and internal medicine internship through the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Huang received the Golden Apple Award for his work in resident education in 2010. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Huang enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, and visiting his in-laws in Greece.

Dr. Lindmark joined BMW in 2007 and became the Vice-President of the group in 2010. Dr. Lindmark serves on the Anesthesia Performance Improvement and Privileging-Credentialing Committees at Medical City Dallas Hospital. She was honored at Medical City with a City Lights Award for outstanding bedside manner.  In 2010, she was elected as a delegate to the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists where she serves on the Patient Safety and Communications Committees. Dr. Lindmark completed her anesthesiology residency and internship at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. At UTSW, she was selected to serve as chief resident in her final year. She also received the Robert D. Dripps, M.D. Memorial Award which is given annually to the top graduate in anesthesiology at UTSW. Dr. Lindmark received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. Dr. Lindmark is married and enjoys being a supermom for her two children.

Dr. Tanying (Alison) Mao joined BMW in 2017 after two years of extensive experience in anesthesiology and pain management at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a level 1 trauma center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Mao completed both her pain management fellowship and anesthesiology residency at Washington University in St. Louis and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. While at Washington University in St. Louis, she was honored with the Peter E. Krucylak Award for Outstanding Resident in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. Dr. Mao completed her Medical Doctorate at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She is an alumna of Plano West Senior High School and is pleased to return back home to Dallas. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her husband and two dogs, making her own furniture, and traveling the world for good food.

Dr. Nair joined BMW in 2009 and took on the role of division treasurer in 2018. She serves on the Tissue and Transfusion committee at Medical City Dallas Hospital. She completed her anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. While in residency, she was active with the Anesthesia History Association and authored an article for the Bulletin of Anesthesia History on regional anesthesia and pain medicine pioneer, Dr. P. Prithvi Raj. Dr. Nair received her Medical Doctorate from the Texas A&M College of Medicine in Bryan-College Station. While in medical school, she was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award. Dr. Nair graduated summa cum laude from Austin College in Sherman with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in philosophy. She is a long time DFW metroplex resident and an alumna of The Hockaday School. Dr. Nair and her husband are raising two daughters who are following in her footsteps at Hockaday. Dr. Nair did some footstep following herself. Her mom is a retired physician Anesthesiologist who had a 31 year career caring for the people of Bedford, TX.

Dr. Reed joined BMW in 2012 and took on the role of Section Chief of Anesthesiology for Medical City Dallas Hospital in 2016 after a year as Assistant Section Chief.  She also serves on the multi-disciplinary Professional Performance Evaluation Committee and the Anesthesia Performance Improvement Committee at Medical City. In 2019, Dr. Reed completed a Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership & Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Reed came to BMW after six years of clinical and administrative experience at South County Hospital in Wakefield, Rhode Island. There, she was well-regarded in her role as Assistant Chief of Anesthesia and was selected for the Physician Colleague in Caring Award from the nursing staff of South County Hospital for her positive communication style and collaboration with the patient care team. Dr. Reed is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She completed her anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and an internal medicine internship at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Dr. Reed earned her Medical Doctorate at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock. Dr. Reed graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas in Denton with a degree in chemistry and a minor in biology. Dr. Reed and her husband take advantage of the mild weather in Dallas to play golf year-round.

​Dr Rezai joined BMW in 2014 after eleven years in anesthesia practice in Arlington, TX. He brings with him extensive experience in cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, regional and general anesthesiology. Dr. Rezai is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He completed both his medical doctorate and anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas. During residency, he developed an interest in nutraceuticals and authored "Herbal Medications and Perioperative Implications." Dr. Rezai grew up in Fort Worth and attended Texas Christian University where he graduated summa cum laude with a major in chemistry and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Rezai enjoys renovating his Dallas home and has many D-I-Y projects under his belt.

Thien Truong, M.D.

​Dr. Thien Truong joined BMW in February 2018 after a short time with NTX Anesthesiology in Plano. Dr Truong is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He received his anesthesia residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. During his time at UTMB, he was invited to present at the International Anesthesia Research Society in 2017. For his prior education, he received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Finance. Dr. Truong is ecstatic to have returned home, as he is a long time native of Dallas with a lot of family in the area. He grew up in Garland and graduated from North Garland High School. Although his biography is uncannily similar to the other Dr. Truong in the group, they are not related. His hobbies include traveling overseas, playing basketball, and being an avid connoisseur of sports, Netflix, and good food.

Dr. TiepTruong joined BMW in 2008 after the completion of his anesthesiology residency and internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He earned his Medical Doctorate at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Dr. Truong was born in Saigon, Vietnam and moved to Dallas at age thirteen. He was valedictorian at Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. Dr. Truong is fluent in both Vietnamese and Cantonese.

​Dr. Sushma Yitta joined BMW in July 2019 after eight years of experience in Anesthesiology in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is proficient in all aspects of anesthesia and has taken a particular interest in regional anesthesia techniques. In Indiana, Dr. Yitta built a robust regional anesthesia service for her hospital. Dr. Yitta is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She received her training in anesthesiology at Indiana School of Medicine, Indianapolis. For her prior education, she has received M.B; B.S from Guntur Medical College, India. She moved to the United States of America after graduating from Medical School and completed postgraduate medical training at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Yitta is also fluent in Hindi and Telugu. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, traveling with family, learning about people, cultures, and food.​
